About DoT
I'm convinced that for the most part, when we talk about the "Internet of Things", the main asset is data.
Data is the raw material or asset conducted by the internet to provide us with the real value: Information, so at the end pretty much everything in our new digital world is about collecting, managing, moving and analyzing data to produce information, insight and knowledge.
This blog is a result of this idea. Is an effort to share personal thoughts, news and ideas about the data of all things whether its big, small, dark or light.
Of course, in this space opinions are my own and not the ones from my current employer.
Some of the areas I'm more interest in covering, but not necessarily exclusive range from analytics, BI, big data, databases and data warehousing, the internet of things and occasional rants on other topics.
So dear reader, I welcome you to take a look, read, reflect and share your thoughts about your daily experience with data and information.
My experience expands for more than 25 years of experience in all phases of application development, database, data warehouse (DWH) and analytics and BI solution design, these includes of course more than 15 years in project management, covering best practices and new technologies in the BI/DWH space.
Prior to joining TEC, I was a senior project manager and senior analyst developing BI, DWH, and data integration applications using solutions from Oracle, SAP, Informatica, IBM, Teradata and others. I have also worked worked on projects related to the implementation of data management solutions for the private and public sectors including among others, banking, insurance, retail and services.
I'm also a proud member of the Boulder BI Brain Trust.
Avid reader, music lover and soccer fan, when I'm not busy researching, consulting and mingling with people in this industry I'm also "trying" to raise my three lovely kids while my wife tries to re-raise me.
